Couple & family photoshoot FAQ
Couple & Family Photoshoot in Koh Samui
A couple and family photoshoot with ART.ANETKA in Koh Samui costs 11,000 THB for a standard family of 2–5 people. Couple sessions run 1–1.5 hours; family sessions with multiple combinations can run up to 2 hours. The price covers concept, styling advice, location, the shoot and full editing — no hourly add-ons and no hidden production fees.
We don't know how to pose, will you direct us?
Yes. I direct posing, movement and how you interact with each other so the photos look natural rather than staged. No prior experience is needed. Most couples relax within the first 10 minutes, and every prompt is optional — nothing you’re asked to do should feel forced or awkward.
What if my partner is shy in front of the camera?
This is common and expected. We start with simple movement and natural interaction between you rather than posed portraits, so the camera fades into the background. By the second setup most partners stop noticing it — the strongest frames usually come after that shift happens.
Will you help us choose outfits for the shoot?
Yes. I help you coordinate outfits by color, texture and mood so everyone looks pulled together in the frame without matching too literally. We plan this in advance from your own wardrobe. For families I recommend a shared color palette rather than identical clothing.
Can we change outfits during the session?
Yes — one to two outfit changes work well for couple and family sessions. Additional changes take time from actual shooting and can affect the final image count, so we plan the sequence in advance to protect the strongest concepts and the best light.
Can we get both joint and individual portraits?
Yes. Within a couple session I include joint frames and a few individual portraits of each partner. A full solo portrait series for one person — with its own concept, styling and dedicated editing pass — is booked as an add-on and priced separately.
How long is a couple photoshoot?
A couple photoshoot in Koh Samui typically runs 1 to 1.5 hours. Duration depends on the concept, number of outfits, locations and lighting complexity. Studio-flash setups take longer than natural-light sessions. I finish when the concept is fully captured, not by the clock.
How many people can join a family photoshoot in Koh Samui?
The standard family package is designed for 2 to 5 people. For 6 or more participants the format, session length and price are calculated individually — larger groups need more time for combinations, direction and post-production. Please confirm the exact group size before booking.
Does the price depend on the number of people?
Yes. More participants mean more family combinations to shoot, more staging time, and more images to select and retouch afterwards. The 11,000 THB base rate covers a standard family of 2 to 5. Beyond that, a custom quote is prepared based on group size.
Can other relatives join the shoot?
Yes, but the number and composition of participants must be confirmed before the session. Adding new people on the day may require additional payment, because the shoot list, timing and edit scope are all planned around the group we’ve agreed in advance.
Do you photograph families with young children in Koh Samui?
Yes — young children are welcome in family sessions. We schedule around the child’s routine (naps, meals, mood) and build in short breaks so nobody is pushed. Sunrise or late-afternoon slots usually work better than midday, both for the light and for children.
What if my child is shy, tired, or doesn't want to be photographed?
I never force a child to pose. We give them time to warm up and work with play, movement and natural interaction with parents instead. Some of the strongest family frames happen when the child is absorbed in their own play rather than looking at the camera.
Can you shoot group and individual family photos in one session?
Yes. A family session covers group frames, parents together, parents with children, and children on their own. Please confirm the combinations you want in advance so we can plan for them. A full personal portrait series for one member is priced as a separate add-on.
How long is a family photoshoot?
A full family shoot in Koh Samui with multiple combinations can run up to 2 hours. This gives time for group frames, parent portraits, children on their own, and short breaks between them. Larger or younger groups usually need the full window; smaller families finish sooner.
Can we shoot at more than one location?
Yes, when the locations are close together or within the same area of Koh Samui. Shooting on the opposite side of the island is treated as a separate project — travel time, new lighting setup and additional preparation are involved and priced accordingly.
Can we do the shoot at our hotel or villa in Koh Samui?
Yes, provided the property permits professional photography — please check with reception or the owner in advance. I prefer to see the space beforehand to assess light and identify the best time and setups. A pre-shoot location visit can be arranged for larger villas or unusual spaces.
