Solo & portrait photoshoot FAQ
How much does a solo photoshoot in Koh Samui cost, and what's included?
I work at a fixed project rate rather than an hourly one. The price covers concept development, reference work, styling advice, location and time selection, the shoot itself, and full photo editing. You know the total before we book — there are no hourly add-ons or hidden production fees.
How long does a solo photoshoot last?
A solo session in Koh Samui typically runs 1 to 1.5 hours. I finish when the concept is fully captured, not by the clock. Sessions using studio-flash lighting take longer because of setup and adjustment time, and complex multi-look ideas can extend the schedule.
How many photos will I receive?
You receive approximately 50 to 100 selected, color-corrected images from the shoot, with 10 additional frames delivered as full detailed retouches. The selection is curated — I deliver the strongest frames rather than every capture. All images are provided in high-resolution web and print sizes.
When will my photos be ready?
Standard delivery is 3 to 7 days after the shoot. During busy periods editing can take up to two weeks, and I confirm the exact turnaround when we book. You receive the full color-corrected gallery and the 10 retouched selects together in one download link.
Do you provide outfits or props for the shoot?
I help you style the shoot from your own wardrobe. Jewellery and props from my studio are included at no extra cost. Items from my own wardrobe — for example, a silk kimono — are available for an additional fee that depends on the specific piece.
What is the best time of day for a photoshoot in Koh Samui?
The best natural light in Koh Samui is at sunrise or the hour before sunset. For evening sessions we usually meet at 16:30 and start shooting between 16:40 and 17:00. Studio-flash sessions can begin earlier — light setup and testing add time before the first frame.
Will you help me pose during the shoot?
Yes. I bring references and direct posing, movement and gaze throughout the session, so no prior modelling experience is needed. Everything is done at your comfort level — you’re never asked to do anything that feels unnatural. Most first-time clients feel at ease within the first 10 minutes.
Can I change outfits during the session?
Yes — you can bring 2 to 3 outfit changes per location. We plan the order in advance so each look gets enough shooting time and its own setups. Bring outfits that suit the location and the season rather than trying to cover too many looks in one session.
Can we shoot at more than one location?
Yes, when the locations are within the same area or district of Koh Samui. Shooting in a different part of the island is treated as a separate project, as it requires travel time, a new lighting setup
and additional preparation. We agree on the routing before booking.
What happens if it rains or I feel unwell on the shoot day?
Weather-related cancellations are rescheduled to the next available date at no cost, . Health reschedules are free once. A second reschedule for illness requires a newdeposit to hold the new date, so the calendar stays workable for other clients.
Can I get photos on the same day as the shoot?
Yes — for an additional 2,000 THB I send unedited JPEG previews on the shoot day. These are working files without color correction or retouching and don’t represent the final look. Please don’t publish them or credit me as the photographer until the finished gallery is delivered
